Honeymoon In Singapore And Bali: A Magical Trip Full Of Love And Adventure!
My initial preference for our honeymoon was Europe. However, since we were planning to go in February, we had to abandon the idea of Europe due to the cold weather during this time. The idea of experiencing chilly, dreary, and rainy days on our honeymoon did not seem ideal for sightseeing in Europe.
Therefore, our next best option was Southeast Asia, specifically combining two prominent destinations: Singapore and Bali. These two islands offer distinct cultures and a plethora of attractions to explore and enjoy.
Here is an overview of the itinerary we selected for our trip to Singapore and Bali:
Day 1: Arrival in Singapore – Hotel check-in – Night safari – Dinner
Day 2: Breakfast – Sightseeing in Singapore – Cable car to Sentosa Island – Return to the hotel
Day 3: Breakfast – Universal Studios – Return to the hotel – Dinner
Day 4: Leisure day – Board High Seas cruise at 5 pm – Cruise journey begins at 8 – Evening magic show
Day 5: Free day on the High Seas cruise ship
Day 6: Disembark from the cruise ship at noon – Check-in to the same hotel – Explore the city on our own
Day 7: Flight to Bali – Check-in at Seminyak – Dinner
Day 8: Breakfast – Water sports in Nusa Dua – Return to Seminyak – Dinner cruise with Bali Hai
Day 9: Check-out – Visit tea plantations & Tanah Lot temple – Check into Intercontinental hotel
Day 10: Visit the private beach – Check-out – Flight back to Hyderabad
Singapore and Bali boast numerous breathtaking attractions. However, there is only so much one can explore in a span of 10 days.
Here are some of the highlights and standout experiences from my trip to Singapore and Bali:
Singapore: A contemporary haven of diverse cultures
Family Trip To Singapore: Enjoyment, Amusement, & A Great Deal Of Fun!
Our journey to Singapore and Bali commenced with a visit to the fusion center of asian cultures – Singapore. A small island nation situated off the southern shore of Malaysia. Arguably the most cosmopolitan city/state we’ve witnessed on our voyages, Singapore embraced the essence of Asia and compressed it into a contemporary incarnation of a megacity.
Our Assessment of Village Hotel Bugis:
We relished our cozy stay at the Village Hotel Bugis. The personnel were extremely polite and accommodating, and they were available in case we needed any information or assistance to navigate the city.
Our Rating of Village Hotel Bugis is: 4/5

Merlion Park is one of the few tourist attractions in Singapore that draws not only foreign tourists but also the local population. Merlion Statue, a mythical creature with the physique of a fish and the face of a lion, is situated within the park. It is considered to be one of the symbolic landmarks of Singapore.

My preferred attraction in Singapore, Universal Studios rightfully holds the honor of being one of the finest amusement parks in Asia. Its roller-coasters are world-class and the value for entertainment within the theme park is unparalleled. We upgraded our standard pass to the express unlimited pass to evade crowds and lengthy queues.

On our second day, we visited one of the most ancient temples of the indigenous Hokkien community within the country. The temple is constructed in honor of a Chinese sea deity. We explored this tranquil national monument which also embraces and promotes Buddhism.

A combined resort and casino facing the Marina Bay, the structure is renowned for its entertainment value and architectural design. Activities to Experience
We proceeded to the night safari at 7.30 pm in the evening. We were taken on a small train for a guided tour in the jungle to observe all the different rare animals, who have had their natural habitat replicated.
After witnessing the main safari, we attended the creatures of the night show in the amphitheater at 9.15 pm. The show was a combination of interaction and comedy where the show presenters ensured maximum participation from the audience.

- Teleférico ride to Sentosa Island
A picturesque and daring way to journey to Sentosa Island, is by utilizing the teleférico ride that operates from mainland Singapore to Sentosa Island. We utilized this mode of transportation whenever we desired to visit the attractions on the island on our second and third days.
Admission Fee: INR 1530 per individualOperating Hours: 8:45 am to 9:15 am
On the 4th and 5th day, we made up our minds to partake in a cruise in Singapore. High Seas cruise took us out to the far outer reaches of the Indian Ocean for 42 hours. Half of the cruise had Indians, out of which the majority were honeymooners. Hence, there was a Bollywood night on the second day at the cruise which the people relished deeply.
I was immensely content with the location of our chamber which was on the upper deck and from where we could observe the front of the ship.
Top-notch Places To Dine In Singapore
A Muslim locality situated near the Queen Street Bus Terminal, was one of the most lively and dynamic places we discovered on our voyage to Singapore and Bali to encounter nightlife and enjoy local cuisine.
A mainly Muslim locality, the Arab Street provided a vast array of regional dishes, combined with foods that had Arabic influence.
Renowned dining establishments: Kampong Glam Cafe, BluJaz Cafe, and Working TitleOperating Hours: 2 pm to 2 am
As the name implied, Little India was a center for Indian eateries, souvenir shops, retail stores, and shopping centers. We discovered many hotels accommodating Indian tourists concentrated there. A favorable location for us, should we ever desire a taste of Indian cuisine in Singapore.
Familiar stores: Little India Arcade, Chandna Mart, and Buffalo RoadHours: 11 am to 11 pm
Valuable Travel Pointers For Singapore
- Once we enter the night safari, there is a train that takes you around the main locations on the night safari. However, there is a fantastic leopard trail that no one took because you have to actually get off the train midway and walk. My suggestion would be to definitely explore that trail.
- No need to worry about the safety in those night safari trails as the animals are well separated by glass walls and barriers.
- A lot of people I know found Singapore to be a very costly place to explore and have a vacation. However, if you plan well in advance, the miscellaneous expenses can be easily managed.
What I adored about Singapore:
- The excursion to Universal Studios in Singapore was an unforgettable encounter
- Embarking on the Singapore Flyer and witnessing the city skyline was a romantic moment
- The most soothing days of our journey to Singapore and Bali were spent on the High Seas Cruise
Bali: The enigmatic island with calm beaches and enchanting temples
Temples, Volcanoes, & Beaches: Bali Was A Stellar Honeymoon Experience This Couple Always Wanted!
The island metaphorically represented a dual-headed creature exhibiting enigma and splendor simultaneously. The enigma stemmed from their very own distinct adaptation of Hindu culture with Chinese elements within it. On the other hand, the splendor emanates from its natural wealth of beaches, forests, and flat verdant landscapes.
Our evaluation of Intercontinental Hotel Bali:
For the initial few nights, we had reserved a private pool villa on our own in Seminyak. The experience of possessing your very own villa, with a private pool at a tranquil location was unforgettable.
The ultimate night in Bali perhaps culminated as the finest experience in terms of hotels on our entire journey to Singapore and Bali. Our stay at the Intercontinental Hotel in Seminyak was absolutely flawless. The opulence and caliber of service over there was unparalleled.
Our evaluation of Intercontinental Hotel Bali: 5/5
Sights to explore in Bali
On the second-to-last day of our vacation, we made a trip to the captivating Tanah Lot Temple. A remarkable temple that symbolizes the ancient architecture of Bali. The location of the temple made it even more exceptional, as the temple is situated atop a rock perched in the water on the coastline.
- Coffee and tea estates
Also on our last but one day, we visited a small coffee and tea estate in central Bali, while we were en route to Tanah Lot Temple.
There we learned about the preparation of the renowned and locally brewed Kopi Luwak coffee. We enjoyed the tea and coffee provided to us for sampling very much, so we ended up purchasing a few packages for ourselves.
Activities to Engage in Bali
Incredible Thrilling Activities: Ashu’s 5N/ 6D Honeymoon Trip To Bali
We journeyed to Nusa Dua for water sports events. We already had parasailing, banana boat and jet skiing included in our package. Once we arrived there, we also felt inclined to attempt scuba diving (the local diving companies demand too much money for it. The asking price was at 200 USD per person but I haggled it down to 125 USD per person including underwater photos and videos),
It was our first experience scuba diving. The soothing encounter of swimming with the fish was unbelievable. The water was transparent and visibility was very high.
On our second evening in Bali, we were scheduled to go for a dinner cruise on the ‘Bali Hai’ from Denpasar. The cruise boat commenced its journey shortly after sunset and welcomed the passengers with refreshing beverages and some gentle music. The cruise charted its course to the enchanting isle of Nusa Lembongan, while we indulged in a delightful dinner.

- Enjoy the secluded beach at Hotel Intercontinental, Djimbaran
On the final morning of our trip to Singapore and Bali, we decided to take a leisurely walk on the exquisite private beach maintained by Hotel Intercontinental. The beaches of Bali, even on a cloudy day like our last one, were a delight to tired eyes.
Useful Travel Suggestions For Bali
- Whether it’s parasailing, scuba diving, jet skiing, or surfing, Bali is paradise for water sports. It is sure to awaken the thrill-seeker in the best of you.
- For all newlyweds going on a trip to Singapore and Bali, staying at Intercontinental Bali is highly recommended.
What I adored about Bali:
- Water sport activities in Nusa Dua
- Stay at the Hotel Intercontinental Bali
Transitioning from the contemporary wonders of Singapore to the captivating nature-filled landscape of Bali, it truly felt like my spouse and I embarked on a honeymoon back and forth in a time capsule capturing the essence of beauty regardless of time.
