Celebrating his recently established bond with his spouse Riti, Rohan Kumar reserved his honeymoon package to Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi through Fred and Fuzzys at a cost of Rs.134,000. The package consisted of their lodging, local excursions and transfers, entrance fees/licenses, multi-city airfare, and Malaysia Visa. Having had the time of his life in Malaysia, here; he reminisces about the memories woven with his beautiful better half.

Honeymoon is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. My utmost concern after the wedding was to choose the most suitable honeymoon destination. Out of a fear of getting bored at a single place, I decided to include an island and one city for a complete Malaysian experience. We added the finest places to explore in Kuala Lumpur for honeymoon and incorporated my brother’s suggestions from his recent visit to these places. To ensure a hassle-free experience, I made a reservation for my tour package through Fred and Fuzzys, as recommended by a friend.

The experience with Fred and Fuzzys turned out to be incredible as our honeymoon trip went exceptionally well, surpassing expectations. The travel agent from Traveling Street agency kept in touch with me throughout the trip, offering assistance at every juncture. Even after returning from the trip, he expressed his concern, which was highly commendable. We are also sharing the details of our Malaysia honeymoon schedule here:

Explore Our 8 Days Malaysia Honeymoon Schedule

Day 1: The departure

The journey commenced from the Delhi airport. We had a connecting flight from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi and we arrived at 9 am. At the airport, we were greeted by a representative who transported us to the Berjaya Langkawi Honeymoon Resort. We arrived at the resort at 10 am and requested an early check-in since our original check-in time was scheduled for 3 pm. With stunning chalets and an extensive area – the property stood exceptionally impressive amidst a breathtaking location.

SkyCab in Langkawi

At the hotel, we took some time to settle down, dine, and rest; as our journey had left us weary. Around 4 pm, we set out for the SkyCab and Sky Bridge (only 1 km away from our resort), using the complimentary shuttle service provided by the resort. After an exhilarating cable car ride, we reached the peak of Machincang Mountain, which offered a captivating view of the sunset and the Langkawi islands. Unfortunately, we couldn’t visit the Sky Bridge since it is operational until 6 pm and we had arrived late.

As twilight descended, we decided to dine at a restaurant on Cenang beach. However, we encountered a small issue in finding food options for my vegetarian wife, but I thoroughly enjoyed the non-vegetarian dishes served at the restaurant. Exploring the beach, we paused to shop at some local stores before returning to the hotel.

Day 2: For the affection of Langkawi

The second day of our Malaysia honeymoon plan led us on a City tour. Our driver arrived punctually and welcomed us warmly. He commenced the tour by taking us to The Underwater World — one of the most popular tourist attractions for a Langkawi honeymoon — where we had the opportunity to observe marine life through the transparent windows of enormous aquariums.

Amidst the beauty of Bali

After glimpsing aquatic life, we proceeded to engage in water activities at Naam sports — a top-notch leisure and watersports company. We began with the exhilarating experience of soaring together in the sky while parasailing, followed by an adventurous ride on a Jet Ski. The sports were impeccably organized, utilizing state-of-the-art maritime technology and equipment.

Island Hopping Tour in Langkawi

After thoroughly enjoying the water activities, we embarked on the Mangrove tour. Aboard a private boat, my wife and I admired the beauty of the mangrove forest. While cruising along the serene river on our private boat, we witnessed the marvels of nature and explored the Bat Cave, Fish Farm, Crocodile Cave, Eagle point, and more. We returned to the hotel around 9:30 pm and had our dinner there.

Day 3: Exploring the island

As the sun dominated the day, we embarked on the Island Hopping tour. This tour, based on shared transportation, took us to various islands where we had the opportunity to partake in diverse activities such as fish pedicures, scuba diving, boating, and more.

At the besutiful Sunset Dinner Cruise

Several of the activities were free of charge while some had to be paid for. The tour concluded with a visit to Beras Basah Island which provided extensive views of the ocean and beautiful soft white beaches to unwind.

I had been informed by my brother about the Sunset dinner cruise in Langkawi. Since I had a day of leisure, I made the decision to go for the cruise. I contacted my driver who made the reservation for me and arrived there around 5 pm.

Sunset Dinner Cruise - natural Jakuzzi

The setting sun accompanied by soothing music, delicious snacks, and limitless drinks – the dinner cruise created the best memories for us throughout the trip. The most enjoyable activity to partake in on the cruise was reveling in the natural Jacuzzi, formed by dispersing a safety net in the ocean.

Leisure at Hotel in Malaysia

Day 4: Time for the next destination

hotel Renaissance in Kuala Lumpur

After spending 3 days in Langkawi, our honeymoon had reached a break. The rest of the journey was filled with places to explore in Kuala Lumpur for honeymoon. We checked out from the resort around 12 noon and boarded the flight from Langkawi to Kuala Lumpur.

Around 4 pm, we arrived in Kuala Lumpur and checked in at our hotel, The Renaissance. I had chosen the hotel for its unrivaled location. Not only does it offer a captivating view of the Petronas Twin Towers, but it is also situated right in the heart of the city.

Visit to Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur

We started discovering Kuala Lumpur by exploring the area surrounding the hotel. Our local exploration led us inside the twin towers, and inside the adjacent KLCC Suria mall. In the food court of the mall, we discovered Saravana Bhavan – much to our delight – and enjoyed its distinctive South Indian cuisines before retiring for the day.

With cosplayers at the Sunway Lagoon

Day 5: All the way to the Sunway Lagoon

After a restful night’s sleep, we prepared for an exciting visit to the Sunway lagoon. The theme park offers 5 specialized parks – Aqua Park, Fun Park, Animal Park, Thrill Park, and Fear Park.

Go Karting at Sunway Lagoon

From water rides to Kart racing to interacting with the animals – the journey to the Sunway Lagoon brought out our inner children and provided us with unforgettable moments to treasure.

Visit to Genting Highland

Day 6: The city of amusement

The series of exhilarating experiences welcomed another addition when we visited the Genting Highland. After an hour-long car journey, we embarked on a 3 km cable car ride to reach this high-altitude hill in Malaysia. The cable car ride lasted approximately 20 minutes and offered breathtaking scenery.

At the Snow world, Genting Island

We explored the Snow World, where we enjoyed artificial snow and the icy atmosphere. After leaving the Snow World, we witnessed a magic performance, cultural shows, Batu temple, and made the most of our time. We also visited the casinos and did some shopping before returning to our hotel.

Peeping out form the KL Tower

Day 7: Departing from a reverie

On the final day of our honeymoon, we visited the KL Tower. Purchasing a ticket to ascend to the top of the tower, we experienced firsthand a panoramic view of the city. Strolling through Kuala Lumpur like locals, we then went for some last-minute shopping at the Chinatown market and indulged in budget-friendly shopping at its bustling stalls.

Visit to China Town Market

In the evening, we ventured to Bukit Bintang and explored the magnificent Berjaya mall. Eager to experience the nightlife of Malaysia, we slipped into a nightclub and had a fantastic time. We made our last honeymoon dinner memorable by dining at Mumbai Plaza and enjoyed a completely relaxing sleep in Malaysia.

Day 8: Departing for India by plane

Flying Back to India - Hotel Lobby

Having booked a flight back to India at 9 am, we checked out of the hotel early in the morning at 5:30.

December Weather in Malaysia

Malaysia stays dry, hot, and sunny in December and boasts incredible weather on the west coast, including the capital city, Kaula Lumpur. The east coast of Malaysia experiences heavy rainfall during this month. It is advisable to include a dry location in your itinerary. We made sure to plan our Malaysia honeymoon itinerary based on the weather before heading off on vacation.

Highlight

The most cherished memory from my honeymoon in Kuala Lumpur would be the time spent with my wife on the Sunset Cruise. We also had a wonderful time engaging in thrilling activities like parasailing, go-karting, jet skiing, and more.

Challenges

During the city tour in Langkawi, we encountered a 30-minute delay as we had to wait for the driver to pick up other passengers. However, it was alright since it was a shared tour.
