I am a frequent globetrotter who adores exploring new places. Traveling to me is a form of relaxation and when I am traveling with my family, it helps me foster connections with my spouse and child. I want to traverse the globe with them and expose them to thrilling experiences. This is why convenience and opulence become my utmost priorities when I am traveling with my family.
Malaysia has always been on my travel roster. After I conducted some research, it appeared to be an ideal destination for a family journey to me. I had heard about Fred and Fuzzys from my acquaintance who works here. So, I got in touch with a TT consultant who provided me with a good deal and an itinerary suited best to my interests. Next thing you know, we were in Kuala Lumpur.
Here is the chronicle of our 4N/5D family journey to Malaysia.
11 Indian Restaurants In Malaysia For A Wonderful Culinary Experience
Day 1: Arrival in Kuala Lumpur
Our flight touched down in Kuala Lumpur at 7:30 in the morning. We had this day to ourselves. After shaking off our jet lag and reenergizing for the upcoming days, we ventured out for some sightseeing in Malaysia. We visited Kuala Lumpur Tower, from where we could soak in the captivating vistas of the urban capital. Our next destination was the Mini Zoo situated at the base of the KL Tower, where our children delighted in observing animals that are not typically found in India. My spouse, who loves to shop, then guided us to the upscale Surya Mall, which truly is a paradise for shopping enthusiasts.
Day 2: Trip to Genting Highland & Batu Caves
The following day, we were collected approximately at 9 AM in a shared coach that transported us to Genting Highlands, which is an integrated resort situated on the summit of Gunung Ulu, providing scenic views of the verdant valleys of rainforests. However, prior to that, we made a halt at the Batu Caves, the renowned landmark of Kuala Lumpur. Although the temple shrine showcases remarkable architecture, the natural surroundings of the location are equally awe-inspiring.
We experienced an enjoyable day at Genting Highland where we explored the casino and witnessed the remarkable Light & Sound Show. Our additional visits encompassed the ‘Ripley’s Believe It Or Not’ museum, the Dinosaur Theme Park, and the Haunted House. Those who decide to visit this part of Kuala Lumpur with their family should unquestionably include these attractions in their itinerary.
Day 3: Thrilling Urban Excursion
We commenced our journey in the afternoon exploring the metropolis. Petronas Twin Towers was our initial destination and the structure appears as awe-inspiring as I have witnessed in the films or photographs. We toured the City Gallery and other historic edifices in the capital. Our youngsters relished visiting the Chocolate Factory due to their immense fondness for sweets.
After paying a visit to the extravagant King’s Palace and having a blast at the Theme Park, we concluded our day with shopping.

Day 4: Let’s head to Langkawi
We took a nearby flight to Langkawi and arrived there in the afternoon. We made the decision to remain in our room and unwind instead of venturing out for sightseeing. As fans of Indian cuisine, we were primarily missing the tastes from our home country. Thus, we acquired Indian food and relished our local meal in the hotel room.
Day 5: Island Hopping in Langkawi
The ultimate way to experience the captivating beauty of Langkawi, an archipelago in the Andaman Sea, is by embarking on an island hopping tour. The white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and pristine shores, it all felt so wonderful to be there. One of the islands we explored on our tour had a lake situated in the center of the island, the magnificence of which amazed us. Our day in Langkawi couldn’t have been any better.

Day 6: Final Day in Langkawi
Well, our vacation had come to an end but not the fun. We took our children to Underwater World, the most well-known attraction on the island. We as adults also had a fantastic time. Since Langkawi is a duty-free zone, even my shopaholic instincts couldn’t be restrained this time and we ended up purchasing a few bottles of alcohol and a wide variety of chocolates at unbelievably low prices.

Did you encounter any negative experiences?

Yes, I regret not visiting the Sky-bridge in Langkawi.
