You are aware of how we continuously plan those ‘must-take-together’ international journeys with our closest friends, but fail to actually embark on one each time? Well, my closest companion and I did more than just mention each other in those social media posts this time around. We finally went on our inaugural international excursion to Thailand, and it was absolutely incredible!
There’s no doubt that the most incredible experiences occur when we least anticipate them, and with the least amount of time at our disposal. Within a span of 15 days, we discussed the prospect of taking the trip, made the decision to fly to Pattaya in Thailand, and procured our reservation for four days.
All of this in such a short period of notice only became feasible due to the fact that I was already familiar with Fred and Fuzzys. Day 1: On route to Pattaya, and viewing the Alcazar Show
Upon arrival at Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok from Bangalore, and after completing all necessary procedures, our driver was there to collect us, ready to transport us to our intended destination. Armed with some refreshments and snacks, we entered the cab and set off for the captivating city.
The commodious interior of the cab and the amiable driver created a cozy atmosphere that allowed both of us to unwind during our journey to the hotel. Since our check-in time at the Bella Express Hotel was 2:00 PM, we left our luggage there at 12:00 and went out for a midday meal.
After returning, we took some time to rest in our room before preparing to watch the famous Alcazar Cabaret Show. It was a truly extraordinary experience, something we had only heard of or seen in films. After the show, we had dinner and called it a night as the journey had left us quite tired.
Day 2: Parasailing on Coral Island and exploring the Walking Street
No journey with friends to Thailand would be complete without visiting the stunning beaches of Pattaya. Our second day was filled with fun and exciting adventures, which began as soon as our guide picked us up from the hotel.
To start the day, we went to Pattaya Beach and then took a speedboat ride to reach Coral Island. However, in the middle of the journey, we encountered a ship that offered a unique experience unlike anything else.
Both of us engaged in parasailing, and I must say referring to it as incredibly exciting would be an understatement.
After the exhilarating water sport, we resumed our journey towards the Coral Island, where we spent a couple of hours eating, drinking, and capturing moments.
Followed by a banquet lunch in the evening, both of us went out for a revitalizing Thai massage, shopping, and exploring the Walking Street. The street appeared completely different during the nighttime. It had come alive and was a spectacle worth experiencing.
Day 3: Exploring Tiger Park, and capturing Pattaya like an expert
The third day of our enjoyable trip with friends in Thailand commenced with a visit to Tiger Park, which was truly an amazing place. We not only observed tigers but also took photographs with them.
Day 4: Saying goodbye to Pattaya, Thailand
The final day of our vacation didn’t have much planned. Some hours of shopping and a delicious meal made it a bit easier for us to bid farewell to this charming city and return to Bangkok to fly back home.
Shopping In Pattaya
Shopping in Pattaya is just as delightful, particularly for Shopaholics. Without spending a lot of money, you can purchase anything and everything from anywhere, as the city has five to seven shops set up after every 500 meters.
We visited the Central Festival Pattaya, which is an excellent shopping mall, and also the Asia Gem Gallery, a high-quality jewelry store in the city. Every aspect of this experience was worthwhile and provided great value for money.
