Climate In Thailand In April
The climate was not our closest ally on our trip to Thailand. We had a great experience though. The weather in Bangkok was not favorable and quite hot but that doesn’t ruin 5 days in Thailand for couples because when in love and having the best company, nothing else matters and as we had already checked Bangkok weather in April, we were prepared. And it got so much better when we went to Phuket. As we arrived there, it was pouring rain which made us all happy and thrilled. We took a stroll on the beach in the evening because the weather was absolutely astonishing.

1. Exploring Safari World
Exploring Safai World was one of the greatest things we did on our 5-day Thailand honeymoon. Safari World is divided into two areas. The Park is an expansive space where one can drive around and discover the wildlife in its natural environment and there is a Marine Park that houses a zoo, a variety of animal performances, restaurants, and more. We started with the Dolphin display and later moved on to the Orangutan display, then the Elephant display, and concluded with the Sea Lion display. Among these, the Orangutan display captured our hearts. We were amazed by the multitude of Indians present in the park, and to our surprise, in one of the performances, the show organizers played an Indian song to please the audience. After the Marine Park tour concluded, we explored the Safari Park in our SIC (Seat-in-Coach). It lasted approximately 45 minutes during which we sighted tigers, bears, zebras, and many other wild animals. They were mostly lounging around, seeking relief from the heat. Upon arriving at the hotel, we gave in to our exhaustion and simply relaxed in the rooftop pool.
2. Shopping At Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
Even though we were quite thrilled to visit the notorious Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, we were not particularly enthused about waking up at 6 in the morning. However, the market is located 85 kilometers away from the main city and the early morning atmosphere is definitely worthwhile. So, we embarked on the journey in a new SIC (Seat-in-Coach) and then a decorated long-tail boat until we reached the market. The boat driver slows down to let you admire the winding waterways and catch a glimpse of the homes situated alongside the river. The market has numerous shops selling overpriced fruits, souvenirs on both sides of the canal. Nonetheless, the experience was genuine and awe-inspiring. Paddle Boats are necessary to navigate the market.

3. Refreshing At Chao Phraya Dinner Cruise

Chao Phraya Princess VI was the name of the dinner cruise we boarded and it was magical. The experience we had was something we will always remember. As we had made an early reservation, we acquired the window seat on the upper deck and the view was beautiful. It lasted for approximately 2 hours and the food was a delight. There were numerous choices and the host sang Bollywood songs, creating a pleasant atmosphere on the cruise. However, unfortunately, due to the Thai King’s coronation, we were not permitted to see Wat Arun, but nevertheless, the experience was unforgettable.
4. Attempting a Large Vessel at Phang Nga Bay
One of the primary reasons we selected Thailand was for its iconic vertical limestone formations rising out of emerald green waters. The previous days were just a warm-up; this was the reason we came and it was awe-inspiring. Observing those immense formations crafted by nature made us feel small yet captivated. Then there was the famous James Bond Island. Its distinctive rock was truly a sight to behold. And the sea canoeing, where you enter through a cave and emerge into paradise, was phenomenal. 5. A High-Speed Boat Experience at Phi Phi Islands
After enjoying the green waters, the cruise experience, and a day of lounging and unwinding, we entered another type of sea. I had only seen it in movies and heard about the deep blue sea. But up close, the tranquil sensation it evokes can only be experienced. It’s not that I can’t describe what it feels like, but rather, it loses its significance if I attempt to put it into words. It’s unfortunate what occurred to Maya Bay. I hope it recovers swiftly. The snorkeling was not as pleasurable as I envisioned, but the breathtaking views reminiscent of paradise made up for it quite well. Accommodation In Thailand
We lodged at the Woraburi Sukhumvit Hotel in Bangkok. It was a 3-star hotel and the amenities lived up to our expectations. There’s complimentary Wifi and a rooftop swimming pool which was fantastic. It is very close to Nana Plaza if you’re an adventurous bachelor. However, in Phuket, we stayed at The Deck Condo. It had a breathtaking view from the balcony since we booked the highest floor, and a kitchen with all cooking utensils, induction stove, etc. So we prepared our own meals using the supplies we brought from home. It was a bit pricey but definitely worth it.
Cuisine In Thailand
Thailand is a haven for non-vegetarians. It offers such a wide variety of non-vegetarian options that we were pleasantly surprised. As vegetarians, though, we had limited choices when eating out. However, we were able to discover some excellent Indian restaurants here and there. If you know where you’re staying, you can use Google Street View to explore the surroundings and, if you find restaurants, check the images. Someone must have posted the restaurant menu, so you won’t be shocked by the prices when you visit. In Bangkok, we visited the Bawarchi Restaurant. The food was satisfying but a bit pricey. When discussing food, we highly recommend trying banana pancakes, which can be easily found at beachside locations.
Shopping In Thailand
A trip is incomplete without purchasing some souvenirs. However, in Thailand, they tend to overcharge tourists for everything. But the expectation is for you to negotiate before making any purchase. At the Floating Market, there was a shop selling keychains, some of which I really liked and ended up buying. We bought other souvenirs as well, and the shopping experience was one of the highlights of our 5-day stay in Thailand.

Thailand is home to six international airports, making it incredibly easy to reach the destination. It truly is that straightforward and convenient for couples spending 5 days in Thailand.
